<description>I have two &quot;Blue Children&quot; pieces: a 6&quot; vase and a 18&quot; charger with identical mother and child figures but difference snow scenes. Both in perfect condition.

<description>I have 2 round tiles with the doulton markings on the back. I bought them framed about 15 years ago. I didn&#039;t like the frame so have now removed them only to find the doulton stamp. Mine are dark blue edging the picture of 2 samll girls they appear to be in the woods playing with a doll. the other is a boy and girl looking into a hollow in a tree. I can send pictures if you would like as I am very interested in them. They appear to have hidden signatures.

		<description>Hi Christopher!

I am an antiques and collectibles dealer/collector. I have a Blue Children Plaque, a/k/a Babes in Woods.

I have heard that the original artist that painted these for transfer had a child that died and his flow blue thereafter depicted children...I have been told his name may have been &quot;Mott&quot; Myatt or Myott, Perhaps someone will
recognize the story.

Do you have any further information that you have discovered?
My Blue Children plaque has 2 girls under an umbrella in the woods in snow...............Some parts appear to be hand touched-up, and the rest of it is transfer...It is in the exact same Oval frame as yours; although my frame was painted Gold, not black. Tiny nails hold it in place. There is NO MARKING on the back of mine. D all of yours have markings???
Measures approx. 9.75 inches by 7.75 inches oval.
You are the first person online that I have found that actually KNOWS ANYTHING about my plaque! I am trying to find out what it is worth so that I can offer it to my clients at a FAIR price! I am writing the information on it now, and plan to list it sometime this month.

I just wanted to share what little info that I have come across with you.

Thank you for putting this online!

<description>Thank you for your email, it&#039;s always a pleasure to hear from a reader. In simple terms, yes, your piece would have a smiliar value at auction. However, the more complicated answer is that it depends on size and condition. If you&#039;ll let me have that informationa and an image of it and the mark on the base, I&#039;ll see what I can do.
Sincerely
